… and this Republican voted for Trump

A former Scranton, Pa. special education teacher was arrested earlier this week and briefly jailed for fraud after she was found to have voted twice in the 2020 presidential election.

In Florida, casting more than one ballot is a third-degree felony that can draw a sentence of up to five years in prison.

Joan Hasted voted more than once according to the warrant for her arrest, and what is interesting is that she obviously did not vote for Joe Biden.

Details

According to a local Florida newspaper,

A Villager who is a registered Republican has been arrested on a warrant charging her with casting more than one election ballot.

Joan Halstead, 72, of the Village of Palo Alto was arrested at 6:20 p.m. Monday on the Sumter County warrant charging her with fraud, “casting more than one ballot at any election.” She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released at 8:28 p.m. Monday after posting $2,000 bond.

In October, Halstead filed paperwork indicating she intended to challenge incumbent Sumter County School Board member Sally Moss, who has filed to run for re-election. However, Halstead, a former special education teacher in the Scranton (Pennsylvania) Public School District, later withdrew her candidacy in the non-partisan school board race.

Halstead purchased her home at 1848 Palo Alto Ave. in April 2020. Sumter County voter records indicated she registered as a Republican on June 29, 2020.

Facebook page shows Trump support

How do they know that she voted for Trump?

According to Halstead's Facebook page, she is a Trump supporter.

On Jan. 19, one day before President Joe Biden's inauguration, Halstead posted a meme featuring a "Trump 2020: Keep America Great" flag and the words, "You don't have the balls to share because you're afraid to offend your snowflake friends."

"His list of accomplishments, even while being persecuted daily, are amazing," Halstead wrote above the meme.

What is really amazing is that while Trump lies about all of the illegal votes by Democrats, not one piece of evidence has been produced to support that. However, in Pa. itself, two people have been convicted of voting more than once in the election, and both were Trump supporters.
